Wildlife Restoration (WR) Grant Examples
This page details specific information regarding Wildlife Restoration grant application examples for state fish and wildlife agencies to construct an archery target range using this federal funding source. Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has provided three examples for archery target ranges throughout Alabama.

Blueprint Example: Wetumpka Archery Range
The Opelika Community Archery Park
The objective of this target range grant is to construct/develop a 50-yard archery range to serve residents within Lee County in central Alabama. The range was developed through a partnership with the City of Opelika and the Bowhunters of Alabama, Lee County Chapter (BHA). The grand opening of the archery park was held on November 9th, 2022.
Lakepoint Community Archery Park
The objective of this target range grant is to construct/develop a 50-yard archery range on State Park Property in Barbour County in southeast Alabama. The range was developed through a partnership with State Parks and the Archery Trade Association. The grand opening of the archery park was held on June 24, 2021.The following grant request includes an original signed AFA (SF424), Project Narrative, Budget Narrative, NEPA and Section 7 compliance documents.
Troy Community Archery Park
The objective of this target range grant is to construct/develop a 50-yard archery range to serve residents within Pike County in southern Alabama. The grand opening of the archery park was held on September 6, 2019. The following grant request includes an original signed AFA (SF424), Project Narrative, Budget Narrative, NEPA and Section 7 compliance documents.
