Education

Education is a long standing aspect of conservation efforts, and several types of programs arefered through our grants. Hunter education programs teach the public s about the importance safe firearm and ammunition ownership, handling, storage and safe and responsible hunting practices.   Respect for wildlife, landownership and understanding conservation programs are elements of these courses. and their habitats. Aquatic resource education programs provide individuals with important information about water quality, fisheries management, and conservation of aquatic ecosystems. Funding also pays for safe boating programs for the public to learn skills and techniques when on the water.  All of these programs provide skills and knowledge to prepare people to participate and engage in these outdoor activities.
