“In a recent CBS Saturday Morning News segment U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Director Williams discussed the important conservation work funded through the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program (WSFR). Through collaborative partnerships with state fish and wildlife agencies, WSFR supports the boots on the ground work that benefits wildlife, evaluates and enhances species of greatest conservation need, and provides recreational opportunities for fishing, hunting, shooting, and boating. Collectively, these WSFR funded projects support the conservation priorities of our partners and help the agency achieve their mission to work with others to conserve, protect, and enhance wildlife and wild places.”
